Our Origin
The idea for Project Humanity was developed in 2017 and launched in 2019, with the mission to make every employee a proud member of the Acer family.
Through bottom-up employee initiatives and executive support, we shape an authentic brand culture that’s aimed to drive positive change.
Ignite collective purpose
Executives became green ambassadors, sharing sustainable living insights, while employees created brochures for Project Humanity, uniting everyone with a shared commitment.
Reduce waste in daily life
Employees earned reward points for using eco-friendly cups, sparking a partnership with the corporate cafeteria. In 2019, we eliminated 1.2 million disposable cups.
Green On challenge
Project Humanity, utilizing the 30 Green Actions Internal App, empowers employees to adopt green habits in their daily lives, fostering a better future.
E-waste recycling initiative
Our employee created a circular economy model for e-waste collection, initiating PC and battery recycling at Acer HQ.
Ideation workshop
We hosted quarterly workshops to ignite passion, engage employees, and leverage cross-department experience.
Creative toolkits
We designed toolkits and training materials for seamless onboarding, enabling employees to voice their initiatives and ideas during our quarterly workshops.
Packaging design initiative
As a part of the Project Humanity initiative, we transitioned to a more sustainable packaging through replacing plastic adapter bags of the notebook with eco-friendly paper sleeves.
Global supplier conferenc
In Acer’s global supplier conference, more than 300 supply chain partners joined us in Project Humanity, encouraging their employees to participate in sustainable initiatives.
Environmental cleanup
We helped create a welcoming environment for our employees, their resident communities, and NGOs.
